We are changing the perception of available power
At Exeger, business meets science. Our vision is to restore the carbon balance of the planet, by empowering people with clean, endless energy. It has taken us 10 years of hard work, dedication, courage and relentless pursuit to commercialize our innovation that will change people’s behavior and perception of light. We are developing the first ever made artificial solar cell, Powerfoyle, that can empower any consumer electronic device, IoT services and smart homes. And the best thing about it, is the more you use it, the more you help save the planet.
The first consumer products powered by Powerfoyle will be launched in 2020, and we will only accelerate from there. Therefore we’re now looking for Electrical / Automation Engineers to help keep pushing the boundaries of what is considered possible. As an Electric / Automation Engineer at Exeger, you are entrepreneurial at heart, charged with carrying the Exeger’s vision and being a game-changer.
Are you a curious and technically skilled electrical / automation engineer that love turning the unknown into simple engineering problems – and solutions? Then keep reading! We are now hiring engineers to join us at our plant in central Stockholm.
Engineering is the place within Exeger where we design machines and solutions, developing the entire Exeger production line. Focusing on innovative engineering solutions for high-performance projects, and provide technical expertise through design, manufacturing, and operations.
You will be at the heart of Exeger industrial engineering organisation, dedicated to form one-off machines for development and production of the unique Exeger solar cell, realize customer specific prototypes and develop software and database solutions. To put it short; we build, deploy and develop, a to z.
We are looking for true automation-innovators, experts with a desire to be part of building a world leading company. This is a career opportunity that combines both your passion and skills as an engineer and allows you to extend your knowledge of bleeding edge technology!
What about you?
In this role, you’ll be designing the electrical distribution system for Exeger’s industrial manufacturing machines, as well as being part of the hands-on team that builds and assembles the machines. You design the control systems and make good use of your PLC programming skills. Lastly, you perform safety reviews of the electrical systems and ensure that our machines meet statutory requirements, such as CE marking.
Exeger is a rapidly growing clean tech company and we are constantly seeking out and adding the sharpest talents in each area. Though, our recruitment process focuses as much on personality/culture fit as it does on merit. We’re looking for you who embody our values and strive to reach our vision of a self-powered and sustainable daily life.
That said, we believe that you have 5-10 years’ experience from architecting and building electrical distribution systems, in order to succeed in this role. You have worked with selecting and integrating industrial sensors in large scale production settings. Experience from firms with production machines and/or machine vision systems is particularly interesting. As for your educational background, we think you are likely to have a degree or diploma in electrical engineering, automation or mechatronics.
If you in addition to the above, also have experience from PCB design and assembly and/or are a certified electrician, that would be a bonus.
More about Exeger
Founded in 2009, Exeger is a Swedish deep tech company, manufacturing a unique carbon positive material that has been invented by the company’s founders.
The technology allows for light energy (indoor as well as outdoor) to be transformed into electrical energy inside a nano-material, just like chlorophyll in plants – i.e. an artificial photosynthesis process. The company’s vision is to restore the carbon balance of the planet by empowering people with endless energy. The company has been backed up by institutional investors and is in an exciting scaleup phase. The company has several major collaborations (in progress as well as planned) in the wearables segment. Today the company employs approximately 120 people.
